Surprise! Venice isn’t just canals — it also boasts a wide, sandy beach!

After navigating narrow crowded alleys with kids in tow, nothing beats a beach break — let them run free, splash in the Adriatic, and build epic sandcastles.

Just 15 minutes by water bus from Piazza San Marco, and you’re on Lido. After a short stroll, the kids are toes-deep in the water and you’re finally getting that well-deserved break.

Hop on a water bus adventure

The beach break? Maybe just the perfect excuse for a full day of hopping the vaporetto from shore to shore and island to island.

Soothing lagoon views, the sound of splashing water — pure bliss. It might even turn into a mission to check off family-friendly spots from this very list. And naturally, docking just for the occasional gelato refill is absolutely part of the plan.

Bonus: Kids under 6 ride free, and day passes are an exceptional value at just €25 per person.

Rowing students must be at least 6 years old, but there's no age limit for passengers. Even if rowing lessons aren’t the focus, kids can still help steer the adventure on a relaxed, family-friendly ride.
